County Fair-Inspired Wedding for Winifredbean.com

WEEKLY WEDDING LOOK – COUNTY FAIR, PART II

August 6, 2013

Few summer events are as whimsical and delicious as County Fairs. Infuse your own summer wedding with this country-style fun. Think food-on-a-stick, outrageously cute candy bars, and custom chalkboards to spell out your love. Start with a pastel palette with pops of vibrant red that lends to a country chic vibe. A simple exchanging of vows is given a playful twist with extra large balloons floating above the couples’ head. Lead your guests to their seats with name cards arranged in carnival-like crates of peanuts. Long, wooden, family-style tables are numbered with coveted Blue Ribbons and sit below strings of globe lights. Give fair food a gourmet upgrade with delectable bites such as duck confit corndogs and salty, buttery popcorn in personalized paper bags. Lastly, send guests home with a Blue Ribbon-worthy dessert bar as sweet as your County Fair-themed wedding.

WEEKLY WEDDING LOOK – COUNTY FAIR, PART I

August 5, 2013

County Fairs are quintessential summer events. From deep-fried Oreos to prize winning pigs, communities gather together each summer to celebrate fun, food, and one another. Channel this fantastic fair energy into your summer nuptials! Winifred Bean’s Tulipe gown epitomizes vintage beauty with elegant chiffon and sweetly draping sleeves that can be worn on the shoulders or loosely over your arms. Accessorize with vibrant colors to add a touch of whimsy to your look: bright red poppies make a bouquet pop and a swipe of hot magenta over your lips brings a balance of pretty and daring to your bridal style. A multi-colored jewel necklace adds glamour while a delicate feather hair piece ties together a vintage country look. As a final touch, slip on your ruby red slippers: Red suede Mary Jane pumps add a vibrant splash of color to your Country Fair look.
